にほんごのListening Practice (12/1 しゅくだい)

こんにちは!今日は日本語の Listening Practiceです。YouTubeのビーデオをみました。とてもよかったですよ。
ビーデオはじゅうはぷんてした。

This listening exercise was a little challenging but only because there were verbs and vocabulary words that I had never seen beforehand. Other than that, this video was a great method to practice listening. Besides just being a relaxing video to watch, the person in the video spoke very clearly, which made it easier for me to try and identify words that were discussed during lecture. For this video, I did not turn on English subtitles and instead attempted to use only the Japanese subtitles provided in the video. This encouraged me to try and read along and to identify katakana, hiragana, and kanji characters.

As I was watching this video, I realized that my Japanese language skills had improved. Throughout this video, I recognized several words and verbs from different lessons, mostly from lessons 3 and 4. For example, I recognized the following words: かいもの, でんしゃ, やさい, and the prices of groceries (ひゃく), さけ, にく, やすい, つくります. It was great to see how the person used these words in various sentences. Watching this YouTube video was also a great way for me to remind myself of the vocabulary terms and verbs for the final exam.

I also was able to practice katakana reading. For example, the person in the video used words such as ス—パ— (supermarket), クリスマス (Christmas), ケ—キ (cake), and ボウル (bowl).

Finally, as I was reading the subtitles, I also recognized some of the kanji we had discussed. I noticed kanji such as 今 (いま) and 日本 (にほん).
