聞く・見るしゅくだい (9月7日)

 みんな,

こんにちは！日曜日にかれと日本のえいがを見って、えいがの名前は「A Whisker Away」です。見たえいがはかわいくて、おもしろかったと思います。そして、これは2時間ぐらいかかりました。We watched this movie with 英語の subtitles but listened to it in 日本語。

This movie is about a middle school girl who transforms into a cat in order to catch the attention of her crush. However, the situation becomes very risky, and she may lose her human life. At first, I wasn’t sure if I liked the movie, but as the plot progressed, I found it quite entertaining! It was exciting to watch how the characters attempted to resolve the major conflict. It was a very sweet movie which can also be enjoyed with family. 

As I watched the movie, I realized that I was understanding MANY phrases even without having to glance at the English subtitles. I am finally able to understand many plain verb forms (positive and negative) and many adjectives that we are studying now or have studied in the past. Here’s a list of some of the words that I recognized:

• くれない (negative plain)
• 見て　(-te form)

• 知らない

• 出かける

• やる / やりたい (to run a shop/to want to run a shop — NEW VOCAB WORD from Lesson 11!)

In terms of cultural knowledge, I did not gain any but I got to reinforce what I already learned in the past! For example, I heard phrases such as 行ってきます。Overall, this was a great experience!
